Cutting/Application Supervisor
Division: Britten, Inc.
Location: Traverse City, MI
Reports to: Finishing Manager
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Scheduled Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM plus additional hours as required.
Job Summary/ Responsibilities: We are currently seeking a self-motivated and energetic individual to coordinate production flow to ensure the daily completion of the ship/drop dead list. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: ensuring all production jobs move quickly and efficiently and in the highest quality; coordinate, direct and ensure that the production schedule is followed and priorities are carried out. Will recommend personnel actions, enforce company policies and procedures, and ensure that all employees are properly engaged in production tasks. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing an effective team structure that increases employee cohesion and morale as well as selecting and recommending appropriate techniques to minimize losses such as material waste or inefficient production methods. Will cross train department personnel for highest efficiency. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be well organized and capable of handling multiple tasks. Must have the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors. This individual will also need the ability to work independently and make educated and informed decisions. Must posses the ability to work with and learn software systems. The ideal candidate will have exceptional knowledge of management techniques. A college degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Digital Operator

Location: Traverse City, MI
Department: Digital
Reports to: Digital Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Scheduled Shift: Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, plus additional hours as required.
Job Summary/ Responsibilities: We are currently seeking two (2) Digital Operators to act as support staff to the Digital Production Supervisor. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to; operating high-speed digital printing equipment, handling multiple brands of substrates efficiently to avoid waste, maintaining digital machine detailing, and observing print quality to assure images meet customer satisfaction.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate(s) will have extensive knowledge of PC operating systems and design software such as Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Experience with solvent printing and sign production software is recommended. A graphics production background is preferred. Excellent spelling and attention to color detail is required. Must be able to keep up with a fast-paced environment and reflect a positive attitude towards challenging job requirements.

Press Operator

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Scheduled Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, plus additional hours as required. Must be able to be flexible between varying shifts.
Job Summary/ Responsibilities: Our custom silk screen operation is growing and we need talented staff to churn out exciting, quality product. We are looking for a technically savvy employee that can efficiently run custom projects. Our goal is to find an experienced employee that can do multi-color printing from job set up to production, color matching and quality control. Duties will include:
* Set up and expose screens
* Set up single and multi-color screen prints projects and print the product
* Assure quality, quickly troubleshoot problems and streamline processes
* Maintain screen print area and machine maintenance
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of screen print experience on M&R multi-color equipment, experience with UV inks, and the ability to guide, instruct, teach and motivate other co-workers to work as a team. Must have the ability to recognize and hold high quality during production runs.
Wage: Dependent upon the skills and experience the candidate brings to the position.
