New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Raises its Revenues with BannerDrop™! - 02/18/2010
Britten in New Orleans
In an ambitious effort to increase revenues and reduce costs, The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center has recently installed 71 BannerDrop™ Hoists throughout its lobbies and corridors. BannerDrop™ is a remote‐controlled light‐duty hoist created specifically to raise and lower sponsorship and promotional banners from ceilings that are 15 to 100 feet high without the need for high‐reach lifts.
After successfully installing 1,600 BannerDrop™ Hoists in over 400 major shopping centers and airports, inventor, Paul Britten, believes BannerDrop™ is an essential, money‐saving and money‐making tool for Convention Centers everywhere. “By minimizing the enormous costs of high‐reach lift rentals and the damage they do to carpets and floors, the venues with BannerDrop™ will enjoy new recurring revenue streams from sponsorship banners hanging in the most visible and desirable locations... and these locations will deliver maximum profitability” stated Britten.
David Mason, Director of Building Operations at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center confirms this. “In the past we not only needed expensive lifts and lots of time to change banners between shows, we also had to cover the floors with plywood to prevent problems with our carpets… all this was so expensive and time consuming. Now, thanks to BannerDrop™, we can sell and change 71 banner locations in just a few minutes apiece… and the only tool we need is a handheld remote control!”
Bob Johnson, New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center President and General Manager commented, “Banners have always been more trouble then they are worth… but now, we anticipate changing these dynamics and profiting from our banner sales program. We have already realized substantial cost savings in the first few months.”
