- Britten Inc. CEO Paul Britten founded the company after winning a custom banner contest in college
- In 1986, Britten set the world record for the largest paper banner ever made. The record-setting banner sign, 110 feet high and 220 feet wide, celebrated the 100th birthday of the Statue of Liberty and was displayed on the side of Perpetual Mutual Bank in Washington, D.C.
- Britten’s finishing department consists of sewing machines cut into the concrete that surround a 110- by 45-foot, full-court gymnasium floor, complete with portable hoops and an electronic scoreboard to track the number of banners produced each day!
- Britten currently processes more than 50,000 custom banner printing projects each year, each with its own set of custom parameters and custom artwork
- Britten’s advertising signs and banners are currently on display and sold in six of the seven continents—North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa. Nothing in Antarctica . . . yet.
